O’Fallon Historical Museum has six buildings for you to browse! Our office and gift shop are located in our metal building. This building houses antique cars and farming equipment, among other things. Also available is our Kids’ Corner, where your littles can play with the wooden toys, color, or read a book.

Behind the metal building is the Willard School, a one-room country school that has been moved to town and houses artifacts from many Fallon County schools.

Across the street is the only building in Fallon County on the National Register of Historic Places. The original county jail was built in 1916, housing the sheriffs and their families on the main level and the jail upstairs. This building now contains many displays depicting Fallon County life, including an entire room dedicated to honoring our community’s Veterans.

Our block building houses mainly displays from various Fallon County businesses as well as railroad memorabilia and our fossil collection. The Lambert House is an original homestead brought in from the prairie. The Duffield Museum is a reproduction of the Duffield family’s homestead shack and houses their personal effects from the turn of the century.
