Ben Larson “Off the Beaten Path: The Lost History of Montana”

ALL AGES SHOW
Want to hear the story of the Miles City Ice Jam Bombing, the Murder at the Hasmark Saloon or Montana’s first recorded UFO sighting? Join Ben Larson, Philipburg’s only working musician, not-quite-cowboy poet and historian of the weird and forgotten tales for a presentation of “Off the Beaten Path; The Lost History of Montana.”
Ben has traveled to every corner of the state, visiting small museums, meeting old-timers and collecting stories from all walks of life. From Plentywood to Thompson Falls, this 2 hour show explores Montana history, geography and culture in song, poem and story form. Designed for old hotels, museums, libraries, senior citizen centers and more, Ben and his sound effect guru, Pfahl, bring the Montana story to audiences of all ages.
The show includes original songs such as “Escape From Warm Springs” and “Run, Charlie, Run,” original poems like “Rosebud Bob” and “The Town That Didn’t Die” and contributions from legendary Montana artists through the years like Wallace McRae, Wade Montgomery, Wylie Gustafson and many more.
Light refreshments will be served.
Free will offering, with proceeds benefitting the Museum.
