Heritage Fest 2026

Heritage Fest is Baker’s annual celebration of the people, stories, and everyday history that shaped Fallon County — from early homesteaders and railroads to living traditions still passed down today.
Hosted at the O’Fallon Historical Museum, the day features live music, local vendors, wagon and train rides, hands-on historical activities, games and crafts for kids, and interactive exhibitions throughout the museum grounds. Families are encouraged to explore, learn, and participate at their own pace, making Heritage Fest a true all-ages event.
In 2026, Heritage Fest also looks outward as the nation celebrates America’s 250th birthday. While the country reflects on two and a half centuries of history, Baker celebrates its own milestones — 118 years as a community and 113 years as Fallon County. Heritage Fest highlights how national history is built from local stories like ours: ordinary people, small towns, hard work, resilience, and creativity.
With a free will offering lunch, opportunities to connect with local organizations, and activities designed to be both educational and fun, Heritage Fest invites residents and visitors alike to celebrate where we come from — and why local history still matters.
